Packed crowds at last year's Laois Live Well Expo.
Mark your calendars because Laois Live Well Expo is about to take over Portlaoise College for a whirlwind free community day.
The expo, organised by Age Friendly Laois, Healthy Laois and Laois County Council takes place next Wednesday, April 23 in the college on the Mountrath Road.
They have just confirmed that 100 stands will be filled this year, by Laois community groups, public organisations, support charities, adult education, banks and businesses.
The Live Well Expo supports Laois people into older age. It welcomed around 2,000 attendees in 2024, including community groups from around the county.
This year it is even bigger, with 100 local exhibitor stands, expert talks, demos with LOETB and Google and health screenings.
Laois Age Friendly Ambassador Anna May McHugh, National Ploughing Association MD will again open the expo at 12.30pm. It will run all day until about 6pm.
Attendants can choose to sit and drink a cuppa and listen to expert speakers, with the latest wisdom on health, gardening and technology.
They can take a stroll to the hall to browse the 100 stands and chat to local groups and pick up free samples. There is also an Activity Zone with lessons in dancing, pole walking, mindfulness or chair pilates.
