Kevin Brennan is the 2025 All-Ireland Men’s Golden Masters B 40x20 champion following an emphatic 21-7, 21-8 victory over Antrim’s Joseph Boyle last weekend.
Throughout the championship, the Laois man delivered some superb performances, overcoming top-class opponents like Tipperary’s Joe Ryan and Wexford’s David Redmond on his way to the final.
The decider took place at the National Handball Centre in Croke Park, where Clough-Ballacolla's Brennan put in arguably the finest display of his campaign. It was a fitting redemption after narrowly missing out on the title last year, when he lost a closely contested final to Cork’s Tom McDonagh.
From the outset, Kevin showcased a mix of grit, sharpness and tactical awareness. He seized early control in both games and never let up, denying Boyle any chance of mounting a response. His finishing, in particular, stood out, clinching points with precision when opportunities arose. Read more below picture.
This victory also marks Laois’ second All-Ireland handball title of 2025, following Aoife and Úna Brophy’s success in the Ladies Junior Doubles. It’s a well-earned achievement for Brennan, whose dedication to honing his skills over recent years has been central to his rise in the sport.
