Rosenallis produced a clinical performance in the Roinn 3 Camogie Shield Final, showcasing sharp attacking play and teamwork from start to finish. While the scoreboard leaned heavily in their favour, Clonaghadoo battled right to the end and showed great heart despite the result.
Rosenallis 17-4
Clonaghadoo 0-0
From the throw-in, Rosenallis hit the ground running, stringing together a series of well-worked moves that saw them register 12 goals without reply. Mia Merrins opened the scoring with a composed finish before Ellen Dooley took centre stage with an impressive five-goal burst.
Mia Merrins soon struck again, and Dooley added two more goals to her tally as the Rosenallis forwards continued to combine effectively. Clonaghadoo came closest to scoring midway through the first half when Julia O’Connor fired a shot that agonisingly came back off the upright, a moment that drew great encouragement from the supporters.
Dooley wasn’t finished yet, raising two more green flags, with Ciara Redmond also getting on the scoresheet. Dooley then added 1-1 before Emily Kirwan pointed from play to close out a commanding first half.
The second half followed a similar pattern, but Clonaghadoo never dropped their heads and kept pressing in search of a breakthrough. Redmond and Dooley added further goals for Rosenallis, while Ella Merrins split the posts with a fine point. Dooley brought her individual goal tally to a remarkable 12 before Redmond closed the game with another 1-1. TEAMS AND SCORERS UNDER PICTURE.
