Laois senior hurling team named for Tipperary clash in Portlaoise

The Laois team that will take on Tipperary in Laois Hire O'Moore Park on Saturday has been named by manager Tommy Fitzgerald.

Laois have only had a six day break since they lost to Kildare in the Joe McDonagh Cup final while Tipperary have been sitting idle since they finished third in the Munster Senior Championship. They had a bye in Round 5 of the championship with their last game taking place against Waterford on Sunday, May 18.

The Laois team named shows one change from the loss to Kildare with Ryan Mullaney coming into the starting team in place of Jer Quinlan. The Borris-Kilcotton forward has not been named in the matchday panel for Saturday's game with Camross' Eoin Gaughan replacing him in the 26-man panel.

Laois v Tipperary will throw-in at 1.45pm on Saturday, June 14, in Laois Hire O'Moore Park Portlaoise with the winners taking on Galway the following weekend in an All-Ireland quarter-final.
