Man accused of producing a hockey stick in Portlaoise

A man appeared in court accused of producing a hockey stick and damaging a vehicle in Portlaoise. 

Brian Darcy (24) of 18 Harpurs Crescent, Knockmay, Portlaoise is accused of producing a hockey stick at Telfords, Clonminam Business Park, Portlaoise  and causing criminal damage to two vehicle windows on November 6 last. 

A Garda said the defendant made no reply when charged. He said the DPP had directed summary disposal meaning the case could be heard in the district court.

Judge Andrew Cody ordered disclosure and adjourned the case back to Portlaoise District Court on July 28.
