Laois County Council congratulates Laois Rose of Tralee

Laois County Council has congratulated Laois Rose Katelyn Cummins who became the first ever Rose of Tralee last night.  

“Congratulations to our Laois Rose Katelyn Cummins on being crowned the 2025 International Rose of Tralee.  The 20 year old apprentice electrician was named the 65th winner of the international competition in the Dome last night.

Katelyn becomes the first Rose representing Laois to take the title,” the Council stated. 

Cathaoirleach of Laois County Council, Cllr Barry Walsh applauded the new Rose: “Huge congratulations to Katelyn on being chosen as the winner of the 65th annual Rose of Tralee last night. You have done Laois proud.  All of Laois was cheering you on and we will continue to support you during your reign as ‘Rose of Tralee’,” he said.

Chief Executive of Laois County Council Michael Rainey said “We were delighted to hear the news that the Laois Rose has been crowned the 2025 Rose of Tralee.  The role carries a high profile throughout the year.  Katelyn will have a busy schedule promoting the festival, we wish her every success.”
