Pictured: Electric Picnic 2025 may be affected by Hurricane Erin
Over 80,000 picnickers are expected to descend upon Stradbally for this year's Electric Picnic, and the latest weather forecast from a Midlands weatherman brings uncertain news.
Mr Alan O'Reilly, the weatherman behind Carlow Weather, spoke to the Leinster Express / Laois Live.
"It's going to be a hard one to forecast until closer to the date, but we are waiting to see what track Hurricane Erin takes," he explained.

"Electric Picnic weather depends on the hurricane's path. No hurricane will actually come to Ireland, if it does travel this way it would die out near us, but the remnants could bring wet and windy weather," Mr O'Reilly explained.
"The two main weather models at the minute are showing two very different outcomes. Weather apps are unable to predict the hurricane's path, which is why they are chopping and changing. The apps will likely continue to change predictions for the next week, it won't be until next week that we truly know," he said.
"At face value, the model shows showers and breezy weather, but nothing too major. It is still very unreliable, but it is important for people to know that a hurricane is not coming," Mr O'Reilly stressed.
"People are sharing images of charts saying that it is coming, but the hurricane will weaken quickly from this weekend into next week. Our concern is whether what is left of it will keep away from Ireland," the weatherman finished.
