Mary Kathleen Kearney- Durrow / Stradbally

Mary Kathleen Kearney (née Davey), formerly of 24 Erkindale Drive, Durrow, Brockley Park, Stradbally and Newcastle Upon Tyne, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff of Waterford University Hospital, on 30th August 2025.

Predeceased by her Husband Patrick, her brother Terry, sister -in-law Betty, grandson Robert and son-in-law Eamonn. Sadly missed by her loving family, James, Dolores (Young), Philip, Helena (Dunphy), Paul, Noel, Maureen (Byrne) and David, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

May Mary Kathleen Rest In Peace.

Reposing at her son Philip's residence, 34 Derrywood, Durrow, (R32V638) on Monday, 1st September from 4pm to 8pm. Removal on Tuesday, 2nd September for burial at 11am, in the cemetery adjoining Holy Trinity Church Durrow, (R32CK11).

House private on Tuesday morning please.

Kay (Teenie) Casserly- Kilkenny City / Abbeyleix

Kay (Teenie) Casserly (nee Kelly), Cedarwood Avenue, Loughboy, Kilkenny and formerly of Abbeyleix, Co. Laois.

Kay, in her 93rd year, passed away on 30th August 2025, peacefully, surrounded by family, in the wonderful care of the staff at Tinnypark Nursing Home. Predeceased by her beloved husband Tom, her sons Michael and Jarlath, sister Noreen and brother Seamus. Much loved mother of Brendan, Ann and Joe. Kay will be dearly missed by her loving family, sister Anne (Treacy), son-in-law Tony, daughters-in-law Mary and Trish, grandchildren Killian, Rachel, David, Stephen, Heather, Josh and Ally, nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing in Johnston’s Funeral Home, John’s Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Tuesday (2nd Sept) from 5pm with Funeral Prayers at 6.30pm followed by removal to St. Fiacre’s Church, Loughboy. Requiem Mass on Wednesday morning at 10.30am. Funeral afterwards to Foulkstown Cemetery.

House private. Family flowers only please. The Requiem Mass will be live streamed here REQUIEM MASS.

Colm Phelan- Tralee, Kerry / Portlaoise, Laois

Colm Phelan of Hillview Drive, Caherslee, Tralee, Co. Kerry and formerly Port Laoise, Co. Laois, died peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on 31st August 2025, beloved husband of Marie, dearest father of Sharon, Deirdre and Conor, brother of the late Anthony and Ann.

Sadly missed by his loving family, his grandchildren Gearóid, Eilís, Mícheál, Odhrán and Aoibhín, son-in-law John, daughter-in-law Solweg, brother Donncha, sister-in-law Sinead, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee, on Tuesday (2nd September) from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral arriving to St. John’s Church, Tralee on Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m. where the Requiem Mass for Colm will be celebrated at 10 a.m. (streamed on www.stjohns.ie). Interment afterwards in Annagh Cemetery, Dingle Road, Tralee.

Rest in Peace.

Caroline Deady Bergin- Tralee, Kerry / Kilkenny / Galway / Laois

Deady Bergin Caroline (Canada and formerly of High Street, Tralee, Co. Kerry). Died peacefully on 24th August 2025 in Canada. Predeceased by her parents Maureen and Denis, brothers Timothy and John. Caroline will be sadly missed by her loving family, husband Bill, sons Tim and Peter, daughters Melanie and Fiona and her adored grandchildren William, Isla, Evelyn, James, Maeve and Desmond, daughter in law Beverley, sons in law Tom and Gareth, sisters Anne, Phil and Sindy. Caroline will also be lovingly remembered by her brothers in law and sisters in law, her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family, neighbours and friends, at home and abroad.

A memorial service will take place in Ancaster, Canada on Monday September 8th, 2025 at 12:00 midday.
