Bank of Ireland on Main Street in Abbeyleix
Bank of Ireland has applied for planning permission to carry out works to a protected building in Abbeyleix.
Bank Of Ireland Group PLC lodged an application for its branch on Main Street in the town on September 5.
They are seeking to remove the existing steps, stone plinth and railings in order to accommodate a new ramp and steps at the front of the building.
They plan to construct a new “accessible ramp, steps and handrail and reinstatement of existing stone plinth and railings to match existing.”
The plan will involve the removal and replacement of the existing external ATM and the raising of the internal floor to accommodate the ramp.
