The scene of the collision this morning
A man was arrested following a crash which saw a busy road in Co Offaly temporarily closed this morning.
The single car collision occurred after 10am on the Daingean Road in Tullamore when a blue Volkswagen Passat lost control and collided with a wall.
The car was travelling in the direction Tullamore town when it lost control and spun before striking a wall at the entrance to a house.
It’s understood there were two men and a woman in the car when the collision occurred. Although the car was badly damaged, the occupants are not believed to have suffered any serious injuries in the collision. One man was arrested at the scene.
The road was temporarily closed while emergency services dealt with the aftermath of the collision.
