A large tree has fallen to Storm Amy, on the approach road into a Laois town, forcing drivers to divert.
The Mountmellick to Emo road is blocked by a tree on the outskirts of the town, just past the closed scrapyard and Turley's pub.
Drivers are taking a diversion route around by The Rock.
Met Éireann is warning of the danger of falling trees, with leaves still on trees causing them to be more vulnerable to catching strong winds.
Laois is under a Status Yellow - Wind Warning until midnight this Friday night.
