Laois parish wants sweet treats for Bring and Buy for Lourdes trip

Catholic parishioners in a Laois town are invited to get baking this weekend, to raise money for a parish pilgrimage to Lourdes in France.
Stradbally Parish, led by PP Fr David Vard is holding a Bring and Buy cake sale this weekend Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 of October, at The Nun's Chapel in the Electric Picnic town.
The tasty sale on Saturday is after 5:30pm Mass and on Sunday after 11:30am Mass.

The Stradbally Parish Lourdes Trip with Joe Walsh Tours will take place from June 8 to 12 2026, a four night trip.

Booking / Registration Night will be on Thursday, November 6 in St. Colman's National School. Deposit is €150 and total fare is €825. There will also be a savings club.

In the meantime, the Bring & Buy Cake Sale In Aid of Stradbally Parish Lourdes Fund will stir up some appetites.

"Calling all bakers and those with a sweet tooth. We’re holding a Bring & Buy Cake Sale this weekend to support the Stradbally Parish Lourdes Fund, and we’d love your help to make it a success.

"All donations of cakes and sweet treats are hugely appreciated, you can drop them in before mass. Whether you’re baking, buying, or both, come along, enjoy some delicious goodies, and support a great local cause," the parish office said.
