There is delight at The Heritage Hotel in Laois after the luxury location won two awards at the Irish Hotel Awards 2025.

Staff at The Heritage in Killenard has expressed great pride after picking up their prizes at a ceremony in the Johnstown Estate Hotel in Co Meath. 

"We’re delighted to share that The Heritage has added two incredible awards to the roster. We’ve been awarded Excellence in Service for Leinster, and Venue Coordinator of the Year (Joanna Shore) for Leinster.

"We’ve also a certificate for Outstanding Breakfast. Fantastic....these awards are a testament to the dedication, professionalism and passion of our incredible team. A special congratulations to Joanna Shore for her outstanding leadership and exceptional service.

"A heartfelt thank you to every member of The Heritage team - your hard work, commitment and teamwork continue to set new standards of excellence. Here’s to continued success and an unforgettable 2026," said a post from the hospitality business on social media.

The Heritage is owned by FBD Hoteks. A luxury 4-star hotel and spa, it is located beside a Seve Ballesteros-designed championship golf course.

The organisers say the awards evening marked a powerful tribute to Ireland’s most inspiring hospitality professionals - those who elevate guest experiences with quiet brilliance and unwavering dedication.

This year’s ceremony honoured a diverse spectrum of contributors, from visionary general managers and culinary innovators to devoted housekeeping teams and front-of-house stars. “This is more than just an awards night,” said Shane Smith, Managing Director.
