          It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marlena Stanislawska on 25th October 2025. Formerly of Rathgaline Portlaoise. She passed away in the tender care of the staff at Poznan Hospice in Poland surrounded with love by her family. Dearly loved wife to Marek and loving mother to Karolina and Filip, and his wife Agnieszka . Cherished grandmother to Dylan, Pola, Daniel and Timon. Her brother Ryszard. Nephews, nieces, relatives and many Friends.
          Funeral has taken place in Poland.
          The family wish to thank you for you kindness and consideration at this difficult time. 
          Z głębokim smutkiem informujemy o śmierci Marleny Stanisławskiej, która zmarła 25 października 2025 roku. Wcześniej mieszkała na Rathgaline Portlaoise. Odeszła pod troskliwą opieką personelu poznańskiego hospicjum w Polsce, otoczona miłością rodziny. Ukochana żona Marka i kochająca matka Karoliny i Filipa oraz jego żony Agnieszki. Ukochana babcia Dylana, Poli, Daniela i Tymona. Jej brat Ryszard. Bratanice, siostrzeńcy, krewni i liczni przyjaciele. Niech spoczywa w pokoju. Pogrzeb odbył się w Polsce

         The death took place on Sunday, November 2 of Des Moore, Branswood, Athy, Kildare / formerly of Garrons, Stradbally, Co. Laois.
         Predeceased by his parents Jack and Elizabeth and brother Christy. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Michelle, daughters Nicole and Kandice, brothers John, Fergus, Paddy, Rory, Davy and Anthony, sisters Nuala, Patricia, Martina, Pauline, Ann and Betty, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

         Joan Brophy - Stradbally
         The death took place on Sunday, November 2 of Joan Brophy, resident of Droimnin Nursing Home, Stradbally & formerly of 25 Doonane Road & 13 Doonane Terrace, Doonane, Carlow, Co. Laois
         Joan bore her illness with incredible strength, and died peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Emo Court, Portlaoise Hospital.
         Predeceased by her parents Maura & Patrick, baby Marian, sisters Mary, Julia, baby Margaret, brother Seamus, brothers-in-law Georgie, Frank, John & Pat, sister-in-law Patty, niece baby Bernadette and nephews Shane, Shane (Jnr) & Jamie
         Deeply regretted by husband Jimmy, son James, daughter Joan, and son-in-law Chris, brother Edward, sisters Frances, Bridie, Christina & Annette, brothers-in-law Liam, John, Seamus. sisters-in-law, Nano, Peggy, Teresa, Maura, Bernadette, Claire, Bridget & Catherine, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, nieces and nephews in-law, relatives, friends and neighbours.
         The family would like to thank all of the Doctors, Nurses, Carers and Health Care Professionals who looked after Joan over the years.
         Reposing at Droimnin Nursing Home, Stradbally on Tuesday November 4 from 6pm, concluding with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 8pm.
         The Funeral Cortege will arrive at St. Abban's Church, Doonane for Requiem Mass on Wednesday morning at 11am. Joan will be laid to rest thereafter in the adjoining cemetery. (House Private on Wednesday morning please)
         
         
         Edward Haslam - Portlaoise
         The death took place on November 1 of Edward (Ned) Haslam, Dysart, Portlaoise, Laois / Watergrasshill, Cork
         
          Peacefully surrounded by his family at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore.
          Predeceased by his parents John and Ellen, and brothers Thomas and Abraham and sisters Mary and Josephine.
          Dearly loved father to Thomas, Sharon, Edward, Lorraine, Damien, Conor and their mother Geraldine, Deeply regretted by his loving family. Sons in law, daughters in law. His adored grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brother Robert, sisters Sheila, Bridget, and Teresa. Sister-in-Law, brothers-in-law. Extended family , nieces, nephews relatives. Former colleagues in the Transport industry. May he rest in peace.
          Reposing at Keegans funeral home on Monday from 6.30 pm until 8pm with rosary at 7.30 pm. Removal on Tuesday to arrive at SS Peter and Pauls Church Portlaoise for 11am requiem mass. Interment will take place in his family plot in Ratheniska.
          
         
         
         Henry Percy - Rathdowney
         The death took place on Friday, October 31 of Henry Percy, Templequain, Rathdowney, Laois
         
          Peacefully at Fennor Hill Care Urlingford facility in his 90th year.
          Predeceased by his parents Henry and Annie and his sister Mary.
Deeply regretted by his brother Seàn, nieces Mary and Noreen, extended family, neighbours and a close circle of friends.
Rest in Peace
          Reposing at O'Sullivan's funeral home Rathdowney on Monday evening November 3 rd. from 5 o'clock pausing for prayers at 7 o'clock. Removal on Tuesday morning to the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 o'clock. Interment afterwards in The Local Cemetery, Rathdowney.

         Kathleen Keogh - Portarlington, Mountmellick
         The death took place on October 31 of Kathleen Keogh (née Gorman), Shandra, Portarlington, Offaly / formerly of Upper Forest Mountmellick County Laois.
         Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Regional Hospital Tullamore. Loving wife of the late Michael. Deeply regretted by her loving daughter Mary, sons George, Michael and Seamus, sister Mary, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
         
          Reposed at her residence (eircode R32 FA47) on Saturday evening from 6pm with Rosary at 8pm. Reposing at her residence on Sunday from 2pm until 6pm. Funeral arriving St Michael's Church Portarlington on Sunday evening at 7:30pm. Requiem Mass on Monday morning at 10am. Funeral afterwards to St Michael's Cemetery.

         The death occurred on October 31 of John Byrne, Killian Park, Shannon, Clare / Portlaoise, Laois
         
          Peacefully in Milford Care Centre surrounded by his loving family.
          Predeceased by his infant son John Patrick.
          Deeply missed by his heartbroken family, wife Mary, children Karen, Stephen and Kieran, son-in-law Anthony, Kieran's partner Rae, grandchildren Kate, Joe and Ted, brothers and sisters Martin, Pat, Fint, Tony, Margaret and Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.
          John reposed in Mc Mahon's Funeral Home Shannon on Sunday November 2 from 3pm to 4:30pm. Funeral Mass was in Ss John and Paul Church Shannon on Monday November 3 at 9:30am followed by cremation in Shannon Crematorium at 11am.
          
         
         
          
           
            Eugene O'Reilly - Stradbally
            The death took place on Thursday, October 30 of Eugene O'Reilly, 13 Church Avenue, Stradbally.
            Eugene passed away peacefully in his 94th year in Droímín Nursing Home, Stradbally, Co Laois. Predeceased by his wife Phyllis. Sadly missed by his sons Peter, Jimmy and Owen, relatives, neighbours and friends.
            
             Eugene reposed in The Presentation Chapel Stradbally on Saturday 1st November from 3pm. Recital of the Rosary at 8pm Saturday evening.
             Removal was on Sunday 2nd by Whelehan Funeral Directors from the Presentation Chapel to the Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally for 2pm Requiem Mass. Interment to follow in Oakvale cemetery.
