Clough-Ballacolla launch Leinster Club Hurling campaign while St Lazarian’s in Leinster final action

Clough-Ballacolla and St Lazarian's are playing in their respective Leinster Club Championships

There are two big games down for decision on Sunday as the AIB Leinster Club Senior Hurling Championship gets underway, while there's a Laois Camogie team involved in a Leinster final in Carlow.

Sunday afternoon's GAA action will begin with Laois Senior Hurling champions Clough-Ballacolla entering the AIB Leinster Club Senior Hurling Championship.

Clough-Ballacolla v Castletown Geoghegan in Laois Hire O'Moore Park at 1.30pm on Sunday, November 8

The 2025 county champions are representing Laois for the fourth time in six years after they won their fifth Laois SHC in six years three weeks ago. They won the 2020 Laois championship, but the Leinster Club Championship was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Willie Hyland's side are facing Westmeath side Castletown Geoghegan in the quarter-finals of the competition, with the winner set to face either Shamrocks Ballyhale or Kilcormac Killoughey in the last four.

Clough-Ballacolla have had it tough in Leinster in recent years as they faced Dublin opposition in their first game in 2024 and 2022. Na Fianna beat them in 2024 en route to being crowned Leinster and All-Ireland champions, and it was Kilmacud Crokes who got the better of them in 2022. The previous year in 2021, Clough-Ballacolla had defeated Crokes to reach their first-ever provincial final, but they were no match for Kilkenny's Shamrock Ballyhale in the decider.

Their opponents for Sunday's game needed a replay to get their hands on the Westmeath SHC after they defeated Lough Lene Gaels on the Bank Holiday Monday, October 27.

St Lazarian's v Dunboyne in SETU Carlow at 3.15pm on Sunday, November 9

St Lazarian's Abbeyleix are looking to create some history on Sunday as they go in search of being crowned AIB Leinster Club Junior Camogie champions. They're set to go up against Dunboyne, who defeated St Cillians last weekend.

The Laois Junior champions have somewhat eased their way to the provincial decider. They hammered Cullion of Westmeath in last weekend's semi-final, 4-11 to 0-6, and before that, they had five points to spare against St Laurence's of Kildare in the quarter-finals.
