Laois County Council has announced its intention to make a number of roads in the county public.
In accordance with the provisions of Section 11 of the Roads Act 1993, the council plans to officially take in charge roads at two private residential developments in Graiguecullen and one in Portlaoise.
Roads in Oakley Grove and Oakley Crescent in Graiguecullen are proposed to be made public roads, as well as roads in Dromadoon in Portlaoise.
Director of Services at Laois County Council, Simon Walton, has advised that maps showing the various sections of the roads intended to be made public will be available to view at the council offices in Portlaoise.

People will be able to inspect the maps from Tuesday, 11 November to Friday, 12 December between 9am and 4.30pm from Monday to Friday.
Any objections or representations regarding the proposed changes can be made in writing and addressed to the Administrative Officer, Roads Department, Laois County Council, Áras an Chontae, Portlaoise, County Laois or by email to roadsadmin@laoiscoco.ie.
The deadline for objections or representations is Friday, 12 December at 4pm.
