Christmas has well and truly arrived in Laois as festive lights and trees have been put up around the county.
This week, Laois County Council unveiled its huge Christmas tree outside the Áras an Chontae.
In a video shared on Facebook, the Council showed the process of erecting the tree as well as its finished look.
The Council aren’t the only ones spreading the festive cheer this week, as Abbeyleix prepares for its biggest and best Christmas markets and lights yet.

The event, which has undergone a major revamp this year, kicks off at 2pm on Sunday, 6 December.
There’ll be 32 market stalls at this year’s event as well as street performers, music, and Santa’s Grotto. The main man himself, Santa, will be lighting up the town at 5pm. The event runs until 7pm and is not to be missed.
