A free family-friendly event has been planned in Laois to celebrate the Winter Solstice later this month.
SVT Activity and Wellness Hub have organised the event which will take place along the Vicarstown Canal at 6pm on Sunday, 21 December.
Everyone is invited to join the festive event and all are encouraged to bring their own lantern, candle or LED light to help illuminate the path.

To mark the Winter Solstice, there'll be lots of Celtic myths to bask in at the gathering as well as music and refreshments.
It is free to join in on the fun. However, there will be a collection bucket on the night for the Stradbally Parish Lourdes Fund for anyone who would like to contribute.
This is definitely one not to miss!
