In-store bakery for Portlaoise store
ALDI has added its in-store bakery trial to its Portlaoise, bringing fresh-baked breads, pastries and sweet treats to a wider range of shoppers.
By the end of this month, it is expected that 20 of ALDI’s Irish stores will feature a carefully curated selection of bakery favourites - fresh from the oven, made of quality ingredients, and available to customers at great value.
From crusty loaves and buttery croissants to indulgent sweet buns, the trial has been designed to enhance the shopping experience for shoppers in Laois with added freshness and convenience.

According to ALDI, this latest phase follows the positive response to earlier trial locations and forms part of ALDI’s broader efforts to explore new ways to delight customers in-store.
Managing Director of Operations, Colin Breslin, at ALDI Ireland said: “This is a small and carefully managed extension of the in-store bakery trial we began last year. We know customers will be excited by the new selection of baked goods at Portlaoise, which brings even more variety without compromising on the exceptional value ALDI is known for.”

“As with all our trials, we will closely monitor the results and will be led by what we learn as we plan for the future,” said Mr Breslin.
