Laois Sinn Féin Senator joins Mary Lou McDonald at Kneecap gig
Laois Sinn Féin Senator Maria McCormack has shared photos of herself and party leader Mary Lou McDonald with popular Irish rap group Kneecap.
The photos were snapped at the rap group's 3Arena gig on September 16, which was one of two sold out shows.

The Senator wrote that Kneecap were 'absolutely incredible', with the song 'Get Your Brits Out' playing over the post.
August's Electric Picnic music festival saw Kneecap take to the main stage, where a massive crowd gathered to watch the trio perform.
The Laois Senator and Deputy McDonald have advocated together for Endometriosis care, with the party leader joining Senator McCormack for a Portlaoise endometriosis discussion in April.
Last month, Laois Sinn Féin was rocked by a controversy when a female party member was expelled from the party following a raid on the home of her and her partner, and his arrest in connection with the Garda investigation into an alleged far-right terrorist plot. The man was subsequently released without charge, with a file being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Records showed that Senator McCormack signed the man into Leinster House as a visitor in 2024. The Senator said she was 'deeply shocked' by the arrest of people in Laois in connection with an alleged far-right plot to kill and maim.
In a statement to the Leinster Express / Laois Live in November, Sen McCormack said “at no time did I have any knowledge whatsoever of the concerns now under Garda investigation, nor was there ever any indication of involvement in far-right extremism or violence.”
She commended Gardaí for their swift actions and said she abhors the violence and racism of the far right, who she said have abused, threatened and attacked innocent people including Sinn Féin members over recent years.
