Laois community groups get Christmas windfall 

Portarlington groups receive donations.

Community groups in Portarlington received a boost this Christmas when they were invited into the Portarlington Credit Union offices for an early festive treat. CONTINUE READING BELOW PHOTO

Portarlington Christmas Tree Lights receiving a €1,000 donation.


Representatives from Portarlington Street Lights, the Portarlington Christmas Tree, and Portarlington Tidy Towns (Kilmalogue Christmas Tree) stopped by to receive donations from the organisation.

Portarlington Christmas Street Lights committee receiving a €1,000 donation.


"We were very happy to present two €1,000 donations and a €300 donation, helping to make Portarlington look truly magical this Christmas," said a representative for the Credit Union.


"It is always a pleasure for Portarlington Credit Union to sponsor these wonderful community initiatives annually and to play a small part in ensuring our town looks so well and festive during the Christmas season. A huge thank you to all the volunteers for the fantastic work you do for our community."

Portarlington Tidy Towns (Kilmalogue Christmas Tree) receive a €300 donation.
