IN PICTURES: St Abban's Athletics Club's annual St Stephen's Day Road Race

Laura Ayres won the women's race while John Delaney won the men's race

There was great excitement on St Stephen's Day morning as all of St Abban's Athletics Club came together as they held their annual Road Race. The men's race was won by John Delaney with a time of 14.05, with the Doc Delaney Cup run over approximately 4.8km (three laps of the Turra Triangle). Laura Ayres won the women's race, also known as the Jack Mealey Cup. Ayres ran a time of 5.46 around one lap of the Turra Triangle, which is approximately one mile. The event was kindly sponsored by Cllr. Ben Brennan.
