The 51st AGM of Monasterevan Credit Union was held on 15 December 2025 in the Council Hall with a large number of members in attendance. The Annual report showed that Monasterevan CU had a very successful year with loans rising by 16%.
A dividend of 0.10% on shares and an interest rebate of 2.50% was proposed and passed by the members.
The Chairperson, Mary Ryan, thanked the board members, board oversight members and committee members for volunteering their free time. Thanks were also extended to the CEO Sindy Farrell and staff for their commitment and services to the members.
The Chairperson said that in celebrating 50 years, the Board of Directors had set aside a Community Fund of €25,000 for voluntary groups or clubs to help them in special projects.

Brendan Jenkins, President of the Irish League of Credit Unions, addressed the meeting and congratulated Monasterevan on its successful year.
