People in Laois will need to wrap up this weekend as the entire country has been issued a Status Yellow weather warning for low temperatures, ice, and even snow.
Met Éireann has issued the Status Yellow warning for low temperatures and ice for the whole of Munster as well as Laois, Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Longford, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wexford, and Wicklow.
This warning will be valid from 6pm on Saturday, 3 January until 11am the following morning on Sunday, 4 January. The impacted counties will see temperatures fall between -2 and -4 degrees with severe frost and icy stretches in some areas.
Meanwhile, a Status Yellow snow and ice warning has been issued for Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Louth and Connacht. These areas can expect to see wintry showers and snow accumulations.

This warning will be in affect at the same time as the low temperature warning for the rest of the country.
Met Éireann has warned that the freezing conditions may result in hazardous driving conditions across Laois and the rest of the country.
Cathal Nolan of Ireland's Weather Channel has also warned that snow showers might even be seen after Met Éireann's warnings end, with potential snowfall on Sunday evening in parts of Connacht, Ulster and north Leinster.
