Laois secondary school students and teachers at Heywood Community are in line to get enhanced facilities as part of a significant upgrade of its science education classrooms.
Eamon Jackman, Principal and Board of Management Secretary, has invited tenders for Architectural Services to deliver the Summer Works and Climate Action project.
He has told interested bidders that the project consists of the complete refurbishment of the school's three science labs. The summer works element includes water, electrical, gas, furniture, and floor covering. Pumped cavity wall insulation is a Climate Action-funded project.
The estimated value for the tender is about €670,000. The deadline for the receipt of tenders was December 16, 2025.
