Abbeyleix Soccer Club raised almost €2,000 on New Year's Day during their inaugural 4km Run/Walk. The route started and finished at the club’s grounds at Fr Breen Park, with the proceeds going towards the development of their new pitch in Stonearch. Raymond Self was the first senior male to cross the line, while Ann Churchouse was the first female finisher. Noah Carter was the first U-16 boy, and Karah O'Brien was the first U-16 girl to finish.
