A pillowcase of likely stolen jewellery has been found on the side of the road in Offaly, and Laois Offaly Garda Division is looking to return the items to their owners.

The jewellery as well as several keys were found stashed in a pillowcase.

The crime haul was found on Sunday, December 21 2025, at the side of the road in the Dalgan area of Geashill, which is close to the Laois border between Tullamore and Mountmellick.

Among the items in the pillowcase, are jewelled and enamelled bracelets, a pair of triangular cufflinks, earrings, a signet ring, a silver jewelled cross, and gold and silver coloured jewellery items.

The Gardaí say that owners have to give proof of ownership.

"If you believe this property belongs to you, or you have information that may assist in identifying the owner, please contact Tullamore Garda Station."

"Proof of ownership will be required. Please share to help reunite this property with its rightful owner," they say.
