Michael Doherty - Rathleague, Portlaoise
The death has occurred of Michael Doherty, Rathleague, Portlaoise, formerly "Trusten Macken", Eniskillen, Co Fermanagh.
He died peacefully on January 7 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Deeply regretted by his loving wife Noeleen, daughters, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at his residence (R32C5XH) on Friday, January 9th from 5 pm until 8 pm with recital of the rosary at 7pm. Funeral arriving to SS Peter and Paul's Church, Portlaoise on Saturday for 12 noon requiem Mass.

Patrick Campion- Perth, Australia / Ballacolla, Laois
Patrick (Patso) Campion passed away after a long battle with osteo sarcoma on 19/December/2025 at Hollywood Private Hospital, Perth in the company of his beloved wife Patricia. Patrick was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Ellen, his sister Mary, and his brothers Tony and Jim.
Patrick will be greatly missed by his loving wife Patricia, his son Edward, his sister Eileen, brothers John and Don, brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Cremation will be private with a separate memorial service in celebration of his life to take place on January 10 2026 at Hillary’s Yacht Club Perth Western Australia at 11 am (local Perth time) that is 3:00 am Irish time.

Bernadette Byrne- Durrow
The death has occurred of Bernadette Byrne on January 3 2026, (Cabra Grove Dublin 7 and formerly of Durrow County Laois), (suddenly), at home. Bernadette will be very sadly missed by her sister Margaret, brothers Joseph and William, sisters-in-law Maura and Mary, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. "May her gentle soul rest in peace."
Reposing at Lanigan’s Funeral Home, Fassaugh Avenue Cabra on Thursday afternoon, 8th January 2026 from 2pm to 4.30pm. Removal on Thursday evening to the Church of Christ the King, Cabra arriving for Removal Service at 5pm. Requiem Mass will be on the following morning Friday 9th January 2026 in Christ the King Church, Cabra at 10am. Followed with Burial in Durrow County Laois.

The death has occurred of Brian Callaghan, Bellair, Clonaslee, Co.Laois and formerly Garrymore, Mountmellick, Co Laois, died peacefully January 5th, surrounded by his loving family in the Tullamore Regional Hospital. A past Bord na Mona employee and Central Garage Mountmellick.
Predeceased by his dear parents James and Bridie , brothers Seamie, John Joe, Greg and sister Kathleen. Sadly missed by and remembered with love by his wife Mary, daughters Elaine, Monica and Sharon. Grandchildren, Amy, Tom, Ella, Jack , Alexa and Zara. Son-in-laws Simon, Tommy and Colm, sisters Margaret and Nancy, brothers-in-law Seamus, Jimmy and Joe, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. Reposing at his home Bellair, Clonaslee , Co.Laois R32P6C6 on Wednesday 7th from 5pm to 8pm. Thursday 8th from 3pm to 8pm. Rosary at 8pm on both evenings.
