Uisce Éireann / Irish Water has warned Laois locals to expect potential water outages this week.
Portlaoise is due to undergo scheduled repair works on Wednesday January 14.
As part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme, mains repair works may cause supply disruptions to Grattan Street, Portlaoise and surrounding areas in Co. Laois.
Works are scheduled to take place from 10:45am until 2:45pm on Wednesday.
"We recommend that you allow 3-4 hours after the estimated restoration time for your supply to fully return," a spokesperson for Irish Water announced.
