A viral Laois TikToker has teamed up with a Mullingar comedian to launch a brand-new hilarious podcast.

GoLoud, the home of Irish podcasting, today launched ‘Herself & Herself’, a brand-new podcast celebrating friendship, life's sighs and smiles, and the chaos we all find secretly comforting.

Rathdowney woman Mary-Claire Fitzpatrick is excited to embark on this new venture with comedian Dympna Little.

'Herself & Herself’ catapults head-first into life’s messy, hilarious and occasionally tender moments. The two new-found friends navigate the quirks, frustrations and secret joys of everyday life, mixing humour, warmth and honesty, spinning mundane moments into chaotic, laugh-out-loud exchanges you can relate to.

With topics ranging from navigating married life to the strange comfort of their true-crime obsession, these two women know to perfectly wind each other up, make each other laugh and land on surprisingly heartfelt moments when you least expect them.

A podcast that caters to listeners who love a good rant, a dose of nostalgia, a rogue memory and a conversation that twists, surprises and entertains!

"We’re still trying to figure out which one is herself and which one is herself, but I’m so excited to be working with Dympna on this podcast," Mary-Claire Fitzpatrick said.

"I’ve been a huge admirer of her comedy for the past number of years.  With our shared midlands upbringing, sense of humour and our shared love of storytelling, we feel like we’re well matched.  And even when we’re not, we’re well able to push each other’s buttons!" she joked.

Co-host Dympna Little is just as eager to launch their new podcast.

"I’m genuinely so excited to be working with Mary-Claire! Her name is a bit too long, but she is an incredibly funny Irish comedian," she said.

"Her perspective, timing, and ability to find humor in absolutely everything makes this new venture something I’m so excited for. Two country comedians with microphones… what can go wrong?" Dympna joked.

Darren Cleary, Head of Digital Audion at GoLoud praised the pair for their comedy.

"Dympna and Mary-Claire are two of the most exciting and relatable comedy voices in Ireland right now. ‘Herself & Herself’ gives them the perfect platform to showcase their genuine chemistry and charisma," he said.

"We're excited for people to hear the podcast. We feel the audience will find it both funny and familiar. We are delighted to welcome them to GoLoud," Mr Cleary finished.

Dympna Little is a dental nurse from Mullingar who has found herself an ever-growing audience online through her hilarious skits and her distinctly Irish gallows humour. What started out as sharing videos with family members through WhatsApp has grown into a fanbase of over 300k followers. She has a unique talent for finding funny in the mundane, making her a relatable and authentic comedic talent.

Mary-Claire Fitzpatrick is a TV presenter, content creator and comedian from Rathdowney. Her online sketches and impressions have garnered over 12 million likes on TikTok. Growing up on a farm in Laois has informed much of her comedy, she has a law degree and her first foray into television was hosting a kid's TV show thanks to the success of her YouTube channel MCluvs2laugh!
