Gardaí are appealing for information following an alleged attempted burglary in Laois on Sunday night.

On Sunday March 22, three men wearing dark clothes and balaclavas attempted to burgle a home on Chapel street, Ballinakill.

At approximately 5:30am, three males allegedly entered the shed at the rear of the address, and attempted to move three scramblers from the shed. 

The suspects were disturbed by the owners and fled the scene in a vehicle parked up the road.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact Abbeyleix garda station.
