Laois minor football team named for Leinster Championship opener against Kildare

The Laois minor football team for Tuesday evening's opening round fixture in the 2026 Leinster Football Championship against Kildare has been revealed by manager Dave McGrath from Arles-Killeen.

Laois have been drawn into Group 1, where they'll begin their campaign against Kildare on Tuesday, March 24, before a trip to Louth on Tuesday, April 7. They will end the group stages with a home game against Meath on Tuesday, April 14.

LAOIS: Mark Dowling (Crettyard); Dan Downey (Park-Ratheniska), Cillin Hoey (Portarlington), Darragh Brennan (Crettyard); Will Craig (O’Dempsey’s), Fionnan Brennan (Crettyard), Will McGrath (Arles-Killeen); Eoghan Lalor (Kilcavan), Cian Murphy (St Joseph’s); Thomas Lawler (Graiguecullen), Eoghan Harris (Arles-Killeen), David Timmons (Portlaoise); Sean Maree (Emo), Aaron Mackey (Arles-Kilcruise), Ethan Neilon (O’Dempsey’s).
