The death has occurred of Helen Fenlon (nee Walsh), Kingsgrove, Athy, Co. Kildare, and formerly of Crannagh, Stradbally, Co Laois passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in the wonderful care of the staff of St. Vincents Hospital, Athy on 31st March 2026. Predeceased by her husband Tosh, her parents Edward and Molly, sister Moria and her brothers John and Eamon. Helen will be sadly missed by her son Paul and his partner Derek, sisters-in-law Joan and Rita, nephews and nieces, extended family and friends.
Helen will repose in Thompson’s Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, Mount Hawkins, Athy, (R14 NX80) on Wednesday 1st April, 2026 from 5.30pm until conclusion of the Rosary at 7pm. Removal at 10.45am on Thursday morning 2nd April, 2026 to arrive at St. Michael’s Parish Church, Athy for Christian Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Michael’s (New) Cemetery, Athy.
Denis (Dinny) Kavanagh - Portarlington
The death has occurred of Denis (Dinny) Kavanagh of St Brigid's Square, Portarlington, Laois. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise on March 31, 2026. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Cora, family Margaret ,Declan, Adrian, Assumpta and Siobhan, sister Mossie, sons-in-law John, Kevin and John, daughters-in-law Frances and Fionnuala, grandchildren Caitlìn, James, J.D.,Ella, Aoife , Mary-Kate and Bruce, great-granddaughter Mide, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Mahers Chapel of Rest, Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Holy Thursday evening from 6pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Good Friday morning at 10:20am arriving St Michael's Church, Portarlington for Funeral Liturgy at 11am. Interment afterwards in St Michael's Cemetery, Portarlington.

The death has occurred of Mary Bergin (nee Griffey) St Brigids Place, Portlaoise, 31st March 2026. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family Dearly loved mother to Liam, Paul and Séan. And recently deceased Mary Kelly. Predeceased by her husband Tom. Daughter of the late Dinny and Mary Griffey and sister to Denis Griffey.

Mary Rowan - Stradbally
The death has occurred of Mary Rowan, Newtown, Stradbally, Co Laois, passed away on the 31st March 2026 surrounded by her family. Sadly missed by her loving partner Paul, son Dessie, daughter-in-law Emily, grandson Luca, sisters June and Margaret, brother Pat, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, her dog Amber, relatives and friends.

Predeceased by her husband Frank.
