Gardaí are investigating the theft of a Husqvarna motorbike that was stolen from a property in Laois last week. 

The 125cc motorcycle is believed to have been placed in the boot of an Audi car at Grangehall, Mountmellick some time between in the early hours of Wednesday, April 1 between 3 and 4am.

Its owner believes the 2016 registered motorcycle may be in the Ballyfermot or Coolock areas of Dublin.

Anyone with information or who has CCTV from the area on the night can contact Portlaoise Garda Station on 057 867 4100.
