PHOTOS: Fantastic wins for Laois locals at Tidy Towns Awards

Abbeyleix, Durrow and Rosenallis locals accept their well-deserved awards

Laois locals accepted their 2025 Tidy Towns awards at the Midlands & East Regional awards at a ceremony in Dún Laoghaire this week.

Taking place in the Marine Hotel Dún Laoghaire on April 13, Laois locals were presented their awards by Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill.

Scoil Mhuire Abbeyleix won the Regional and Overall Supervalu School Award.

The award was presented by Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill and Edel Clancy, Corporate Affairs Director at Musgraves to Abbeyleix Tidy Towns members Jackie O'Connell, Mairead Rafter & Kathleen O'Connor.

Durrow Tidy Towns won a gold medal and Highly Commended Award, presented by Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill & Edel Clancy, Corporate Affairs Director at Musgraves to Tom & Kathleen Flynn.

Similarly, Portlaoise Tidy Towns won a Gold Medal and Commended Award, which was presented to Gerry Brown, Stephen Connolly and Pat Delaney.

The Endeavour Award was presented to Rosenallis Tidy Towns, with Audrey Egan, Linda Shaw, Anne McEvoy and Pat Delaney from Laois County Council receiving the award form Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill and Edel Clancy.
