The increasingly popular Laois tourist destination Vicarstown has no public bins but it's time some were installed.
That's according to Cllr Paschal McEvoy who raised the issue with council officials at a recent meeting. He said he had made previous attempts to have bins installed but to no avail.
"Vicarstown has become more of a tourist attraction with the Blueway designation and the canal," he said.
The Fianna Fáil county councillor asked Philip McVeigh if bins could be installed in the village.
The issue was raised at the recent Portarlington Graiguecullen Municipal District meeting.
