Gardaí are investigating the sudden death of a woman in the Drumkeerin area last night.
The woman who was in her 70s was discovered on the Manorhamilton Road, Drumkeerin at around 10:30pm last night, January 2.
Ambulance services attended the scene and medical treatment was provided to the woman, who was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner has been notified and her body was removed for post mortem examination.
Gardai say that investigations are ongoing.
