Gardaí are still investigating the sudden death of a woman in her 70s who was discovered on the Manorhamilton Road, Drumkeerin, Co. Leitrim at approximately 10:30pm on Monday 2nd January 2023.
Ambulance services attended the scene and medical treatment was provided to the woman, who was later pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner has been notified and her body was removed for post-mortem examination.
Gardai told the Leitrim Observer, "Investigations are ongoing" but noted "foul play is not suspected at this time."
