Mary McCarthy (née Flynn), Glenfarne, Leitrim / Cork - Dec 9, 2022, at 93 years old. She is survived by her sister Sally, brothers-in-law Frank, Conor, and Paddy, sister-in-law Ruth, seven children, two sons-in-law, three daughters-in-law, 19 grandchildren (who lovingly called her Nana), and 11 great-grandchildren. In the words of Mary/Mom/Nana, “byesie byesie.” She meant so much to so many people and will forever be missed and live on in our hearts.
Bridget (Dee) O'Dowd (née Travers), Rinn South, Carrick-on-Shannon, Roscommon, N41 KD37 - 5th January, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of Abbey Haven Nursing Home, Boyle, surrounded by her loving family. Pre-deceased by her husband Martin, son Raymond and brother Paddy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving children Christopher, Joseph, Marie, Gabriel, Richard, Martina, Gerard and Damien, daughter-in-laws,son-in-laws grandchildren, niece Mary, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at the residence of her son Damien and daughter in law Rosaline, Rinn South, Carrick on Shannon, Co. Roscommon, N41 KD37, on Saturday, 7th January, from 2pm to 8pm. Funeral will arrive at St. Michael's Church, Cootehall, on Sunday, 8th January, for 11.30am Mass, with burial immediately afterwards in Ardcarne Cemetery. FRS fencing and Agri supplies will be closed on Saturday 7th January as a mark of respect for Dee. Joan Gallagher (née O'Reilly, Rathbracken, Granard, Longford- Died Thursday, 5th January 2023, peacefully at Mullingar Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Kevin, parents Owen and Mary Ann O’Reilly, brothers Noel, Jimmy, Johnny, Eugene, and Paddy, sister Babby. Cherished mother of Martin, Kevin and Colette. Predeceased by her husband Michael, son Patsy, daughter Maura, daughter in law Mary, brothers Bill, James Eddie and Michael Joe. Beloved husband of Sinéad Wall and wonderful father of Stephen, Ewan, Sam and Lily, father-in-law to Linh and grandad to baby Sean. She will be very sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law Donna, Sharon and Marcella, Deirdre’s partner Doug, her sisters Rose and Anna, brothers-in-law Danny, Eamonn and Hugo, sisters-in-law Olive and Colette, her extended family and friends, especially Mary, Rita and Margo and all who knew her. Removal to the Church of Our Lady of Mercy, Artane arriving for Funeral Mass on Saturday (7th January) at 11.00am, followed by burial in Malahide Cemetery.
