Save Leitrim's online Christmas Raffle which will be held at Drumshanbo Mart on January 20 is getting national attention.
Today FM posted a picture of the raffle on their social media and said "this has the potential for the most Irish raffle ever!"
The comments on the post came in from all over the country and internationally. Many commented on the prizes, the first prize in the draw is a heifer of €800. The second prize is the choice between five lambs of €500 and the third prize is a calving camera.
But other commenters asked what Save Leitrim is and why Leitrim needs saving. This allowed supporters of the Save Leitrim campaign to educate people around the country about the issues facing the county.
