Minister for Transport, Eamon Ryan TD and Minister of State Jack Chambers TD have announced a €626 million investment programme for 2023 for regional and local roads.
Leitrim County Council has been allocated €13,186,510 for maintenance, road pavement and rehabilitation works on the county's regional and local roads.
Listed among the overall allocation is €6,664,000 for Restoration Improvement, €973,000 for Restoration Maintenance, €764,500 for Supplementary Restoration Maintenance, a Discretionary Grant of €1,790,500, a Bridge Rehabilitation grant of €565,000, and Drainage Works of €455,500.
Specific Improvement Grants for this year are allocated for the land slip at Aghagrania and Hartley Bridge (€250,000 each), and €200,000 with regard to Lennox Bridge replacement.
Among the Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience Works are:

R207 - Drumshanbo slippage €85,000
R201 - Masonite Junction €120,000
L15283 Laheen Road to Cavan Border €60,000.

The former national road, the L-1601 N4, has been allocated €250,000 for rehabilitation works.
