COLAISTE Naomh Cormac's under 16 camogie team will be seeking All-Ireland success when they take on St Raphael's of Loughrea in the All-Ireland Post Primary Schools Junior 'C' camogie final at Padraig Pearses GAA grounds in South Roscommon on Saturday next.

It is a great achievement for the school to have reached an All-Ireland final and it will be an extremely busy weekend for the school as the senior hurling team will be playing the All-Ireland Senior 'B' Paddy Buggy Cup semi-final against St Louis of Ballymena on Sunday at 12.30pm at the Louth GAA Centre of Excellence in Darver.

The camogie team have had a great run to the final. In the first round stages of the competition they enjoyed victories over Loreto of Navan, Sacred Heart School, Tullamore and St Finian's of Mullingar to put themselves in the knock out stages.

In the Leinster semi-final they were victorious over Scoil Criost Ri from Portlaoise to advance to the provincial final. In the Leinster Final they had a very close contest with Heywood Community School before emerging victorious on a 3-6 to 2-4 scoreline.

They then progressed to the All-Ireland quarter final where they beat Our Lady's College from Terenure.

Colaiste Naomh Cormac then made the long journey to Fermoy to play Loreto College of Fermoy in the All-Ireland semi-final. After a very tight encounter the Kilcormac school came out on top by the narrowest of margins, 3-7 to 2-9.

They now face St Raphael's of Loughrea in the All-Ireland Final on Saturday next March 4th at 1pm in Padraig Pearses GAA pitch, Woodmount, Roscommon.

The Colaiste Naomh Cormac girls have done very well to reach this final. Under the management of Honor Kinsella and Ruth Hennessy they have answered all the questions asked of them and now stand just one step away from All-Ireland glory.

St Raphael's, who had an easy win over Ulster champions St Patrick's of Keady in the All-Ireland semi-final, will provide another test, but thus far Colaiste Naomh Cormac have been up for all the challenges put before them and they will be ready for this one as well.

Hopefully there will be plenty of support out for the girls in the final on Saturday which the school hopes will be the start of a great sporting weekend for the school.
