The Leitrim Association in London held their 66th annual Dinner Dance at The Crown Hotel in Cricklewood, London on Saturday, February 25. Guests in attendance was Cathaoirleach of Leitrim County Council Ita Reynolds-Flynn.
Chairman Michael Curry thanked all for their wonderful presence to help make the night a memorable one. A big thanks went to all the sponsors for their generosity throughout the year and also a sympathy of condolences was expressed to Mary Redican and family on the loss of her late husband and President Proinnsias and to all who had a bereavement in the past year.
A total of £28,000 was donated by Aughavas sponsors Tony and Bernadette McGovern which was distributed to five different charities with £2,000 going to St Luke's Hospice, £20,000 to Childhood Days, £2,000 to St Raphael's Hospice, £2,000 to Bowel Cancer UK and £2,000 to L.A.P.W.D.
