Cookery Demonstration with celebrity Chef (and past pupil) Neven Maguire will take place on Tuesday the 28th of March at 6:30. Tickets are priced at €25 and can be booked by calling or texting 087-7859995.

Ladies GAA
Our U14 squad who were unfortunate to come out on the losing side of a tough game vs Mercy College. A big thank you to our reliable TYs for their help on the day and to Ms Horan for coaching the girls.

Agricultural College Open Days
Mr Ward accompanied students in fifth year to ATU Mountbellew open day yesterday. After a great webinar from Teagasc last week it was great to get out on site.

Sustainability Project CSPE
Class 2A and Ms Carden are asking students, parents and guardians to bring their used batteries to school for recycling. The students have filled 10 boxes of batteries since Nov. They will be in with a chance to win a €2,000 sports equipment voucher for school and a donation will be made to Laura Lynn’s Children Hospice for each battery collected.

ATU Open Day
A group of Leaving Certificate students attended ATU Sligo Open Day recently. They experienced life at university, met lecturers, students and learned all about the courses on offer.

County Leitrim Student Enterprise Awards
21 First and Transition Year students accompanied by Ms Gallagher travelled to the Bush Hotel in Carrick on Shannon last Tuesday to take part in the Co. Leitrim Student Enterprise Awards. The school was represented by 2 junior groups “pop” Jarlath Brown and Daithi Cullen and “Butterbows” Megan Fitzpatrick, Eve Drohan, Sarah Mulvaney Kelly and Shannon Mitchell and 4 senior groups “IClean” Niamh Torsney, Emma Doherty, Aimee Harkin and Peter Cogan, “A Wipe for Life” Aoife McGovern, Abby McPartlin, Aoibh Treanor and Sophie Dalton, “Hydrolarms” Conor Gibney, Erin Chesterand Fergus O’Conaill and “HairBraiders” Lauren Devaney, Sarah McGagh, Elsie Moffitt and Ciara Nolan. We came away with 3 prizes on the day.
2nd Place Junior Category – Butterbows
2nd Place Senior Category – A Wipe for Life
Best use of Technology – Hydrolarms
Ms Gallagher would like to thank the parents for their support in helping prepare the students for this event and to Sheena Cannon and Brian Dolan in the Local Enterprise Office.
