Past pupil Neven Maguire visits St Clare's CS and give cookery demonstration

On Tuesday, March 28, St Clare's Comprehensive School, Manorhamilton continued its celebrations marking 50 years of the school.

The school's Board of Management and Principal, Maeve Kelly welcomed Neven Maguire past pupil who kindly offered to host a cookery demonstration.

The event organised by teacher Ms Danielle Nolan, welcomed Neven's guest of honour and his former Home Economics teacher Mrs Mairead McMorrow.

Local food and craft producers added to the occasion, as well as displays of photographs marking 50 years of the school.

Neven Maguire was introduced by Principal Maeve Kelly who thanked everyone for their support and who thanked Neven for being such a positive ambassador for the school.

Neven spoke fondly of his time in St Clare's and in particular his fondness for his teacher Mrs Mairead McMorrow and the subject Home Economics.

He spent time meeting with past pupils, retired teachers and current staff and students.

The Board of Management would like to thank Neven Maguire for giving so generously of his time and all those who helped organise and supported the wonderful event.
