Ballinamore author to host Leitrim writing retreat

Ballinamore author and writing coach Jane Gilheaney is hosting an exciting One Day Writing Retreat for women at The Old Rectory Country House in Fenagh on Saturday, May 27. The retreat, which is suitable for beginner, early career and emerging writers interested in fiction, poetry and non-fiction, will focus on inspiration and practical tools for moving forward in your writing journey.

The day will consist of tea, coffee and scones on arrival, a morning of discussion, writing and coaching as well as a follow up one to one zoom session. 

Jane Gilheaney is a best selling Irish author of Dark Historical Fantasy novels, poetry and CNF. A communications and creativity expert with over 20 years of experience in writing, coaching and mentoring, social media, art therapy and PR. She has published three books since 2018 and is currently editing the next two novels in her series about a fictional family of witchy women living on the Sliabh an Iarainn mountain.

Jane’s poems, articles and short stories have been published in literary journals such as The Paper Crow, Iron Faerie Publishing, Rebelle Society and Sidhe Press. Most recently a poem about her father John Gilheaney has been shortlisted from 434 entries in the Poems for Patience Competition as part of the Cuirt International Festival of Literature.
