12-year-old male sought for part in Trad feature film
Trad Casting are hoping to fill some leading roles in Lance Daly's upcoming feature Film 'Trad' which is to be shot in and around Donegal.
One of the first roles that casting is trying to fill is that of a 12-year-old boy who can play both the tin whistle and the bodhrán. However, 12-year-old males who are adept at other instruments can also apply if they feel they could turn their hand to the bodhrán and tin whistle.
Acting experience is not necessary as direction will be given to whoever gets the part. It is also understood there will be a casting call for other parts which need to be filled in the near future - however, the focus at the moment is on casting for the young male.
Hillary McCarthy said filming will commence in summer and is expected to get underway in July.
Lance Daly directed Black '47 and won an IFTA for his film Kisses in 2008.
