JC Musical Practical Examination
Congratulations to the Junior Certificate Music students who completed their practical exams last week.

Musical Hoodies and DVD’s
Musical hoodies and DVDs are now available. Priced at €24 for a hoodie and €15 for DVDs payment for each can be made through Easy Payments. Deadline 5th May 2023.

Rang Mhic Dhiarmada
Thank you to Sue McGowan and Leitrim Sports Partnership who ran the girls allowed program for Rang Mhic Dhiarmada over the past few weeks and to Ms Bonnar for organising.

RSA Talk
On Thursday the 27th of April Louise McGeever from the Road Safety Education Centre attended the school. She gave a half day presentation to TY’s. She homed in on the importance of High Vis vests for pedestrians as they are the 2nd highest group of road users killed each year. Thank you to Ms Cunningham for organising this event and to the teachers for supervising.

Canoeing
Transition Year students travelled to Lough Allen to enjoy an afternoon of canoeing on Tuesday. They thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to going for the next few weeks.

TY Taster Day
TY students travelled to NUIG on Wednesday for a taster day. Thank you to Ms Carden for organising the trip and to Ms Keaney for accompanying the students on the day.

NFTE All Ireland Semi Finals
Congrats to Conor and Fergus who represented Sligo Leitrim in the NFTE All Ireland Semi Finals this week in the best business category and to Lauren, Elsie, Ciara and Sarah with their business Hair Braiders are in the innovation category.

LC Art Exams
Congratulations to the Leaving Certificate Art students who completed their practical exams last week.

World Dancing Championships
Congratulations to the four St Clare’s Comprehensive School students who took part in the World dancing championships over Easter in Montreal. We are very proud of these students. Joe Rooney, Bruce O’Hagan, Jarlath Brown (all 1st year) and Nadine O’Hagan (2nd year).

ACCS Annual Education Conference
The ACCS Annual Education Conference took place on Wednesday, 26th April 2023 in Glenamaddy Community School, Co. Galway. The Conference focused on the theme of creativity in our schools this year. This Conference provided an opportunity for us to gather, learn, and share with one another and to showcase the amazing creativity which is abundant in our schools.
St Clare’s Comprehensive School students showcased creativity in our school with TY Robotics, JC Coding, Mini Company, Art, Metalwork, Woodwork and our recent school musical.
