Summer Gospel Evening in Doobally Church with James Kilbane

James Kilbane will perform at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Doobally, Co Leitrim on Sunday evening, June 11, at 8pm.

Readers across Leitrim and surrounding counties might like to note in their diary for the great evening of country gospel with well known singer James Kilbane at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Doobally, Co Leitrim on Sunday evening, June 11, at 8pm.

A Summer Country Gospel Evening with James Kilbane, is part of the 50th anniversary parish celebrations of Ballinaglera, Doobally, and Newbridge parish area.

Much work is underway in the parish for events to celebrate this special period for the parish and the evening of music with James Kilbane is one of the celebration highlights.

The parish community will also appreciate any extra financial help in funds that this event brings as there is always an ongoing need within the three church areas for repairs and upkeep costs.

The evening of music will include many of James Kilbane’s popular Christian country songs and gospel memories including his songs like ‘Mama’s Roses’, ‘The Nazarene Song’, ‘Gravel and Grace’ alongside his gospel favourites, ‘There is a place’, ‘I Saw the Light’ and many more. This is a night of song that always has gatherings singing along in the church seats.

James Kilbane has been keeping busy with television on Shalom World TV that is broadcast across 5 continents. Kilbane is now a multi-platinum selling artist who continues to release new music with the changing times on the internet and social media music platforms to now millions of people worldwide. He is a well known voice on Irish country radio, with his gospel, country and folk styles.

During lockdown, Kilbane’s music grew far and wide in such countries as the Far East as well as North America, the United Kingdom. Kilbane’s honest home grown approach attracts people from every walk of life as many of his songs tell stories of life's ups and downs.

To enjoy this special celebration evening of A Summer Country Gospel Evening with James Kilbane, plus share in the 50th parish celebration at the Immaculate Conception Church in Doobally, then donation tickets are €15 and are available locally from Rynn's Shop in Ballinaglera, Spar Supermarket, PS Loughlin's Shop in Dowra, Costcutter's Supermarket in Manorhamilton, Gala Supermarket in Dromahair or direct from parish organisers and from 087 9170879.

The event on June 11 starts at 8 pm, with assembly from 7.30 pm. All are very welcome to join this 50th celebratory night in Doobally and all support is appreciated.
