Derrycarne Walk this Friday for Biodiversity Week

Derrycarne Wood near Dromod.

There will be a public walk at Derrycarne Wood, near Dromod, this Friday lunchtime for Biodiversity week.
 
The walk will take place from 1pm to 2.30pm.

Derrycarne is a beautiful lakeside woodland in South County Leitrim with high nature value.

To celebrate Biodiversity Week, Karen Woods, Operations Manager at Coillte Nature will lead a walk at Derrycarne and talk about the biodiversity restoration works planned for this special woodland. Community Water Officer Karen Kennedy will join us to raise awareness of the importance of river and lakeside environments and the associated wildlife.

Meet at Derrycarne Woods carpark at 12:50 for walk to start at 1pm.

Booking is essential as spaces are limited.

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and shoes. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
